A French rower abandon his boat in the Atlantic Ocean and it arrived in Nova Scotia. He offered it to me for free, I just had to get it.
Sponsorship was still a challenge, but in-kind support remain steady. Some fabrication work was done in Maryland, then I brought the boat back to Brooklyn, New York.
I shipped the boat to Sao Antao, Cape Verde from Gateway Marina in Brooklyn, New York.
As it turned out, the boat was damaged during shipping and repairs were made. After departing Sao Antao, the boat took on water. I deployed my life raft. After 14 days in open sea, I was rescued and brought to Brazil.
